Investment Criteria

Businesses are involved in one of the following sectors:
• Niche and Advanced Manufacturing
• Information Technology
• Life and Material Sciences

Proprietary products or services offering distinct competitive advantages that have the potential for rapid growth. A competitive advantage should be quantifiable and demonstrate meaningful barriers to competitive entry.

Early stage and growth stage businesses or spinouts.

Initial investments range from $500,000 to $1.5 million, with a maximum of $4.5 million per company. The Fund has relationships with co-investors which increases the potential for a total transaction to be $10 million.

Founders with relevant industry and/or technical experience solely focused on the company. Entrepreneurs should share the fund’s objective of rapid growth over five years leading to a sale of the company.

Investments will be made in companies headquartered in or adjacent to Wisconsin.
